Can Congress change it position – and get away with it?
What is the difference between Declaring War versus
Authorizing the Use of Force?
We now have 435 additional Commander in Chiefs – all in
Congress.
I have a suggested law since we have a majority of the
nation (so say the poles – driven by a biased news media) that opposes the Iraq
War – which it is not because it has never been declared.
The law would go something like this:
We the members of the US Congress (would have to be
introduced in by Houses), hereby declare that the United States of America denounces
violence in all forms. We further
declare that we are withdrawing our military from all foreign lands, and pledge
never again to enter into war. We pledge
to always turn the other cheek. We will
withdraw from all mutual defense treats (as we have demonstrated repeatedly
that we are not trustworthy).
Each representative that votes for this law must sign a
pledge, that if the United States
is attack by terrorist in the US
or any of its interests outside the United States, they will resign
from office, and never seek public office again.
For those who believe Islamic Terrorist are peace loving at
heart, do not want to destroy our way of life – you will be pleased with such a
law.
For those who believe we either fight in other lands and
win, or suffer violence in our country – you will be pleased when the idiots
who only have their personal interest at heart – resign.
