I worte this in June of 2006. Circumstances have changed - only
slightly, as both political parties are useless. The Democratic
Party leading in uselessness.
WHO IS AT WAR?
What sacrifices have been made as a result of the “War on
Terror”?
Who has made the sacrifices?
The only people making sacrifices are those in the military
and their families.
What has either political party contributed to the success
of those making sacrifices?
The Republicans have conducted the war poorly, committed to
few troops, not using weapons available to win, commitment of National Guard
and Reserve Forces as regular forces, to the point of jeopardizing the future
of both. They have not called for an
increase in active duty forces. They
have deployed individuals repeatedly to short hazardous duty tours (short tour
– 6 to 13 months without family) (hazardous – good chance of getting killed or
injured) with little or no regard for winning a true victory.
The Democrats have conducted themselves as traitors to the
Nation. They have aided and abetted the
enemy – they do it almost daily. They
are opposed to gathering intelligence that would alert the Nation of possible
attack. They have encouraged anti-military protestors; they have failed to call
for an increase in active duty strength for fear of alienating their base.
The propaganda branch of the Democratic Party, the Main
Stream Media has conducted themselves similar to the Democratic Party. The exception is they make money bashing our
military. On second thought that might
not be an exception – the Democrats are probably making money from their
anti-Military lefties.
The radio talk show media are primarily Republican. Pick one, none has ever serviced a minute in
the armed forces; yet they talk as if they know all about military
tactics.
If we are at “War”, why has it not been declared by the
cowards in Congress?
We have already forgotten 911, Fallujah (burnt American
hanging from a bridge), beheadings and other acts of barbarism by the
“Insurgents”. Our media and government
are now pulling a “Duke” on our military forces. They have found them guilty of some crime yet
to be proven. How many of us making
“sacrifices” would have reacted at the death of a comrade? If in fact anything happened. How does the
allegations stack up against the barbarism of the enemy?
If we are going to give training to anyone – let it be Ethical Behavior classes to the members
of Congress – both the House and the Senate. The Administration should receive training on
how to conduct a war.
Maybe the do nothing government could get off their
backsides and pass a law. The law would
limit voting on war issues to only those making sacrifices. We the general public are not making
sacrifices, the liberal professors who want to demonstrate against commencement
speakers aren’t making sacrifices, etc.
Yes, the argument will be that our Nation has set up a
system where civilians run the military, but it sure isn’t working. Our military gets weaker and weaker, and it
all started with Korea
– yes the Democrats were in power.
I thought I would never say this – It is time for our troops
to come home. They are not backed by our
cowardly government. They have been
betrayed by Democrat Politicians and their propaganda spouting media. We lost about 2500 outstanding Americans,
only to have their country turn its back on them. I believe the German military at the end of
WWI called it a stab in the back.
